Newsroom - What’s New at RFK

With a recent grant of $25,000 from Third Sector New England's Diversity and Inclusion Initiative, RFK Children's Action Corps' Cultural Competence Committee (CCC) is being funded to implement a cultural competence development plan following an assessment and study completed last year.  The CCC has accomplished a great deal so far, and is poised, under the current leadership of our Kennedy School Program Director and CCC Chair, Chris Montgomery, to bring their work to all facets and levels of the organization-from the Board of Directors to direct care staff, from training to policies and procedures.

The goal is to transform the culture of the agency to a truly diverse, inclusive and culturally competent organization.  This ongoing goal is to value every member of our agency for the unique gifts, experiences, ideas and skills that they bring to each other, to our clients and their families, and to the communities that we serve.

We are excited to continue making progress toward our goal and increasing the commitment and involvement of leadership and all employees of the organization.
