The Cape Cod Adolescent Treatment Center is a short-term (45 days) assessment/stabilization program in South Yarmouth. We provide services that include crisis intervention; individual/family therapy and respite to youth ages 12-17 from the Cape and Islands. Youth are referred by the local area Department of Children and Families. They are working through a range of issues including substance abuse, truancy, domestic violence and aggression. The Center is a safe, encouraging environment in which youth have the opportunity to overcome challenging circumstances. Support and Stabilization services are also offered to youth and families as they transition from the program back into the community.
Additional services include:
- Comprehensive youth and family assessment
- Individual, group and family therapy
- Nursing services and medication management
- Academic Support
- Adventure Education/Recreation
The Center is a local chapter of the international non-profit, Trips for Kids Operating in the United States, Canada and Israel, Trips For Kids® (TFK®) has opened the world of cycling to over 79,000 at-risk youth since 1988 through mountain bike rides and Earn-A-Bike programs. Each chapter supports lessons in confidence building, achievement and environmental awareness through the development of practical skills, and the simple act of having fun. We provide biking experiences to kids that they may not otherwise experience. The kids at the Center enjoy biking trips all over the Cape and beyond.
