2011 Embracing the Legacy Awards
The Embracing the Legacy award honors individuals and organizations whose work reflects Robert F. Kennedy’s belief that the public has a responsibility to all of its members and that lasting contributions to society are made by improving the lives of children and their families.
To nominate a candidate for a 2011 Embracing the Legacy award, please submit a letter that explains how and why the candidate is deserving, the positive impact the nominee has had on the lives of children, how he /she has worked to aid children and families within his/her communities, and/or how he /she has raised awareness about inequalities within society that affect children and families.
Nominations will be accepted from September 1 until September 30, 2010. Nomination letters may be sent to Lisa McTighe Sikora, Robert F. Kennedy Children’s Action Corps, 11 Beacon Street, Suite 200, Boston, MA 02018, faxed to 617-227-2069, or submitted via email to lsikora@rfkchildren.org.

The award recipients will be chosen by the Embracing the Legacy Award Committee and notified by October 31, 2010. Honorees must be present at the annual Embracing the Legacy Event at the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum in early June 2011 to receive the award.
