Bright Futures Adoption Center

Bright Futures Adoption Center (BFAC) is an adoption and foster care program licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.  The goal of the program is to educate expectant/birth parents and adoptive parents about adoption and guide and assist expectant/birth parents and adoptive parents through the adoption process.  Bright Futures Adoption Center provides adoptive parents and expectant/birth parents a more open adoption alternative in Massachusetts; an alternative that encourages adoptive parents and expectant/birth parents to participate in the adoption process, to get to know and respect one another, to understand one another’s roles and responsibilities as members of an adoption triad, to work together to make a plan for ongoing contact that is in the best interest of the child, and to make adoption a healthy and secure beginning to the life of a child.

Bright Futures Adoption Center believes that every adoption should:

  • Focus on the best interests of the baby or child,
  • Be structured with the knowledge that adoption is a lifelong process, and
  • Be handled honestly and openly.

The primary purpose of Bright Futures Adoption Center is to assure that, whenever possible, each child will be raised by a permanent and loving family. Bright Future attracts birth and adoptive parents from diverse, cultural, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
